At each name ahead
Won't let myself share
Words better off dead

Listening to music playing
Begin soothing my soul
Don't know what its saying
But it's mending a hole
And I'm gaining control
 
Still reaching for the phone
Starring straight ahead
Better off alone
Holding thoughts in my head

Slumber beckons and I lay down
A fine tune plays in my head
Covered in my precious silk gown
The peacefulness I savor in bed
